We believe that all of life is to be lived on mission. However, as a faith communitywe partner with several ministries which we believe also center on the gospel and have similar heart beat with us.
We partner with the following ministries:
Young Life
A ministry focused on reaching unreached middle school and high school students by training leaders who show up in the lives of young people showing them how much God cares about them through showing and telling them about God’s love through Jesus in ways and words they can relate to.
AIM
We help sponsor a CarePoint in Eskhaleni which is in Eswatini a small country almost entirely surrounded by South Africa. We serve the community through annual mission trips, partnering in funding special community projects, and through child sponsorship which helps provide food, education and discipleship for the children.
JH Ranch
Provides summer camp experiences in northern California to enhance family relationships through fun, adventure and focusing on the gospel for the goal to make families stronger.
Doulas Partners
Doulos Partners helps to empower indigenous leaders around the world to advance the Kingdom through evangelism, discipleship and church planting.
Hoover-Vestavia Food Bank
The regional USDA food bank for areas of Hoover, Vestavia, and other nearby communities has been hosted at Green Valley Baptist Church (1815 Patton Chapel Rd Hoover, AL 35226) for many years. It provides USDA and additional food for families and individuals in the region. People are needed to unload trucks, stock inventory, interview recipients, translate Spanish, assist customers, etc. Unloading and stocking: second Tuesday each month, 8am-10am.
Distribution: third Tuesday each month, 8am-11am (varies in December).
